Went tuesday june 25 to rent dumbo at Dixon Illinois store was told they did not have because Walmart was having register problems and they were unable to buy the copies for rental would havewhen walmart fixes register problem in a day or so.

Every time I rent a dvd in their Belleville, IL. locations. They freeze and skip halfway into a movie. The boxes they come in are dirty and sticky too. They say sorry and go back to playing on phones. Employees are lazy and gross.

Discrimination and favoritism among employees

My wife was hired 3 months ago at the Family Video in Shelby Michigan. Was not given an employee hand book. The manager Reece,singled my wife out about not wearing T-shirts. Had given a written message on the back of the dress code, it says no t-shirts,not no printed t-shirts. Also says no face peircings or skin tight pants ,but yet 2 employees have facial peircings, and wear skin tight pants. Seems like Reece, the manager needs to do her job,instead of player favoritism towards her emoloyees/friends.

Since when does 'FREE' mean you pay for it. I'm tired of money-grubbing liars and cheaters if it's ""FREE'' it's ""FREE"" !!!!!! I have been a customer since 2005 had a few problems got them resolved. Probably within the last year or so the company is went to *** You have new managers all the time making up their own rules you have new staff that have no clue what they're doing. When you rent one game and get one ''FREE''that doesn't mean you pay for it. I rerent games and movies all the time for one reason or another and I always pay my late fees. Even though they tried to charge me 3 times for the same late fee I had my receipt because the second time I paid it I asked for one. They said it must have been a glitch in the system yeah right. This time I rented a game got one free I did not take it back by 9 on Christmas day they said I didn't have to call it in I would just pay for the game when I brought it back the next day. I took the game back today and they charge me for the game plus the ''FREE'' game what part of ''FREE"" is ""FREE if you have to pay for it. I told the new girl that it was wrong and that I would never go in there again I hope they go out of business. I will pay $40 for a game at Gamestop or go to a Redbox or someplace else instead of paying the $3 that I had to pay for a ""FREE game at Family Video. I am sorry that you are so desperate to be liars cheaters con artist for $3 from a customer. You should not be in business if this is the way you're going to do it and the one in Kenton Ohio already went out of business and I understand why. Pissed off customer !!!! so after my order has been in processing for 2 weeks i send a e-mail asking whats going on, do i get a reply with a explanation nope, so i post on their page give me my money back i can get them cheaper on e bay now and they'll ship that day, do i get a response no, my $31.17 isent going to just disappear so this is my next step the step after is going to involve a higher power

If you want to get results maybe try to sound smarter than a 5th grader. As for family video, they are an awful company and I hope they get what they deserve.

I never deliever movies late but when i went in last night i was told i had a late fee. I said no i do not i delievered it before the guy even told me it was due. She asked me three times if i wanted to pay it. Which is smart when a person is clearly upset. They need to print recipts. Hope that dollar was wirth it i will not be back. Rude employees.

I curently work at family video, its the worst job ive ever had im one of the few poeple who want hours comes to work early stays late does my job and i still have to fight for over 20 hours yet they jusy hired someone fulltime because they threatened to quit. They only care about sales DO NOT care about customer service or other responsibilities im the only employee at my store who can pass a drug test. HORRIBLE RUN AWAY

Do not rent!!

I have rented Game of Thrones and I keep forgetting that every disc foe all season are scratched and cant be watched. Unfortunately I kept forgetting and Id rent them, I have told them many times that they are unwatchable and they just keep putting them back on the shelf so smoeone else will rent them and have the same problems. Do NOT RENT GAME OF THRONES FROM FAMILY VIDEO. THEY KNOW THEY ARE BAD AND THEY DONT CARE.

Family Video did not call me back on this matter. I called corporate and was connected to a District Manager, who I recall was named Eric.

He did apologize and admitted that the staff needed more training and that even he was not aware of the policy on dogs. I explained to him my dog was a service dog and I felt I was bullied by staff and put on the defense. The district manager seemed to side with his staff and wanted to know what I felt the staff was derogatory, as if I should defend myself further. I have not been in Family Video since that day.

It is my feeling I can rent from Redbox, the library, Netfilx, Youtube, or go to the theater. I do not need to spend money at a company that obviously is not customer centered. And another thing - LOCK THE DOOR TO THE *** ROOM!

The bathrooms are locked but the door to *** is swinging right open for any child to wander in. Take a proactive step forward and raise the status quo Family Dollar.

I was in the Family Video Menasha Wisconsin location and was told by employees my service dog didn't belong in public 10% of people are allergic. I explained my dog was a service dog and was tagged. I was told by your staff that he didn't care and I should carry the dog. I explained I wasn't required to carry my dog by the American Disability Act. I told the man he was very shaming and offensive. He argued back that corporate had a policy against dogs and he didn't have to answer to me. My child was exposed to his derogatory attitude while he continued to rudely shame me for having a dog saying he wasn't arguing with me and he wasn't talking to me that I should stop talking. I explained I have been a loyal customer and was very insulted by his attitude toward me. I want corporate to call me to file a complaint.

Scroll to the very bottom of the main page and click on "contact us" which takes you to an online form to fill out so corporate can assist you. You said the employee said for you to carry the dog?

A real service dog is rather large. Are you pulling the old "service dog" scam?

On Tuesday Aug 18 2018 around 7:30 pm I was at a family video store in Kokomo Indiana. I was ready to check out. I only had one video to check out. A lady in front of me had several videos and she kept asking about prices. She was confused about what they told her the videos rent it for. The young man behind the counter was very polite and professional with his approach. He answered all of her questions. She was still confused about pricing. The reason for it was something I almost over at world. The pricing is not conspicuously posted in the App Stor he answered all of her questions. She was still confused about pricing. That is the actual source of the confusion. So, neither the lady customer nor the store employee was at fault. Instead the fault lies with the store management. Well, I put the video in my hand on the counter and walked out after waiting anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes. Just one other customer in the store and I am kept waiting that long. No excuse for that. It is a poor management situation.

As a Witness to the violation of missouri human rights act and gender discrimination

As a person whom supports my fiancé (whom worked there) as much as possible, and even help paint windows for the family video in Monett. I heard from the manager of Monett, Ellie, tells me she just hired a 18 year old female who has never had a job before, but then the next day, my fiancé gets fired due to "too many complaints" from customers. I believe this was a set up to get rid of an employee because of his gender. As a witness, he works excellently, many customers actually enjoy having a conversation with him about movies. I don't see the proof of complaints and he worked faster and better than all the woman who worked at this store. I think the manager thinks my man is trying to replace her and wanted to get rid of him before that happens. Expect a huge complaint from me and I am going to let the world know that woman of any level of knowledge can work at family video but the worlds smartest man cant keep a job at this place because of those woman. I will keep my mouth shut if Ellie gets fired, it sounds like you need a better manager with ethics anyway.
